I know it’s a busy time of year for everyone, but I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the support and well wishes I have received during these recent weeks.

As each holiday season begins, I am reminded of the many blessings I have in my life.

This year I’m thankful for good health, and the wonderful blended family of parents, siblings, children and grandchildren that I share with my fiancé John.

I am also thankful for the platform and responsibility I have been given to share my ideas on how we can create a stronger Illinois, where our citizens can have greater confidence in the justice system and where we can count on our elected officials to defend the rights, health and well-being of all Illinoisans, not just a chosen few.

There is no question that we are living in challenging times. Frustrations with our political system remain high while trust in our political leaders is undermined by near daily revelations of personal and political misconduct.

There is a way forward. We must work together to bring about the fundamental changes necessary to put our great state and our nation back on track. I am trying to do my part by dedicating all my time, thoughts and energy into my campaign for the Office of Illinois Attorney General.

For the next couple days, we will pause to give thanks for the things that are right in our lives, and then we will renew the fight to correct the wrongs that have been inflicted upon women, working families, and our most vulnerable communities.

Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you for all that you do.
