My First Week

My campaign kickoff announcement generated news and excitement across the State of Illinois – and many households across the country as the news spread around to my proud friends and family.

The launch has garnered a lot of great attention. Check out this recent article from the Chicago Tribune, or a column from the Sun-Times that profiles the accomplished women seeking the nomination for Attorney General.

When I went to law school, I knew that I wanted to dedicate my professional life to serving my community. And that is what I have done. As a lawyer and a prosecutor, I have always served the people of Illinois by enforcing the rule of law and working to make the justice system work equally for all. Before I became a lawyer, I had a successful career in business and I gained valuable leadership experience that I can put to work for the citizens of Illinois.

For the past two years, I have been working to support public safety in the City of Chicago by enhancing police accountability and reform. With this combination of professional skills and experience, I am uniquely qualified to serve as the Illinois Attorney General, a role that is now more important than ever in protecting our rights and pursuing justice.

But, I need your support to make it happen. Please sign up for our campaign updates emails, follow me on Facebook and Twitter, and help me lay the foundation of a successful campaign. While you’re there, please consider making a contribution to help me spread my message.

I look forward to talking to you soon out on the campaign trail.
