Another major endorsement (and some bad news)

Late last night, I learned that the Peoria Journal Star endorsed my campaign for attorney general. It was the fourth major newspaper in Illinois to select me as the most qualified, independent and experienced candidate for the office.

Their editorial board believes that I am the candidate who "combines administrative experience with political fearlessness, who brags an independence permitted by owing no one."

I'm speechless

I'm speechless

I was humbled when the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Herald endorsed me as the best candidate in this field of eight for the Democratic nomination for Illinois Attorney General. When I read the endorsement of the Chicago Sun-Times yesterday, I was left speechless.

A huge endorsement for Sharon

We’ve got some huge news: the Chicago Tribune, our state’s largest newspaper, just endorsed Sharon’s campaign for attorney general!

The Tribune reinforced what so many of us already know: Sharon is the most qualified, experienced and independent candidate for Illinois Attorney General.

They cited her tenure leading Chicago's Civilian Office of Police Accountability and her ability to stay independent and above political interference. You can read their whole endorsement here.

We are proud to stand with Sharon and very excited that she has earned this huge endorsement.

Team Fairley

The results in Alabama on Tuesday have me fired up. We get to send a progressive Democrat from Alabama to Congress, and we have the African American community - in particular Black women - to thank for that. They voted overwhelmingly in support of integrity and character and showed our country what can happen when we reach out to and motivate long-overlooked constituencies.

I know it’s a busy time of year for everyone, but I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the support and well wishes I have received during these recent weeks.

As each holiday season begins, I am reminded of the many blessings I have in my life.

This year I’m thankful for good health, and the wonderful blended family of parents, siblings, children and grandchildren that I share with my fiancé John.

Qualified & Ready

Sharon has been a candidate for Attorney General for three weeks and it's been exciting to work by her side as she meets voters and starts to put together a winning campaign. In this time one thing has been made clear: Sharon's long record as a public servant fighting for Illinoisans, her commitment to the safety and security of all Illinois residents, and her conviction to stand strong against the Trump and Rauner administrations is resonating. The enthusiasm for her campaign is inspiring.
